What is the difference between speech and language?

Speech is how we say sounds and words. Speech includes articulation, voice, and fluency.
Language refers to the words we use and how we use them to share ideas and get what we want.  Language includes grammar, vocabulary use, following directions, and social communication with others.

What does neurodiversity affirming therapy mean?

It's the idea that individuals have differences in their abilities and how they interact with the world around them – differences which are not considered to be deficits that need to be “fixed”.

Do you provide therapy over holidays?

Yes, scheduling is available during school breaks and some holidays to prevent regression and continue progress. If you are traveling, sessions can be provided remotely via teletherapy.

Are family members allowed to participate in sessions?

Absolutely. You are in charge of the therapy plan, and we will always make sure your family is included.

Are you accepting new clients at this time?

We are enrolling new families and clients in our expanding network of experienced speech language pathologists. Evaluations and therapy services are available right away.

How does payment work?

All services are concierge and private-pay at the time of session, so there is no need to file paperwork or keep track of bills. Pricing varies based on desired services.

The cost of your child's speech and language services may be covered by the Gardiner Scholarship Program. Talking Trees Therapy (Kasey Mullins) is an approved Gardiner Scholarship Provider in Naples. Read more to determine if your child is eligible for coverage.

How long will my child need speech therapy?

Speech therapy will be different for every individual.  This is determined by how your child responds to speech therapy, the degree of impairment, how frequently you are able to attend therapy, and how much you are able to practice strategies at home.
